Empty Skies

Crash down on me, my once beloved skies,
without those stars and suns I used to see.
Now are you filled with fatal mockery,
with fleeting happiness and lasting lies.
Take me with you, grim reapers in disguise,
and lead me to a land that’s fit for me,
that my eternal home deserves to be.
Abduct me and forever close my eyes.
How can it be that time so idly flies,
that some nights’ shadows never really flee,
no morning sun arises from the sea
and lights with orange glow my empty skies?
